Nitrox Diver Speciality Course
You just finished your Open Water course or even your Advance Open Water course and you start to dive more frequently, and you notice on the dive boats that some tanks have different colored markings and have probably heard someone mention Nitrox or Enriched Air on the boat.
What is Nitrox or Enriched Air? Whenever you dive you normally are diving with compressed Air in your tank consisting of 21% of Oxygen and 79% of Nitrogen, now with Nitrox or Enriched Air we have a different blend of the air where we increase the percentage of Oxygen higher than 21%.
What do we benefit from diving with Nitrox or Enriched Air? Diving on Nitrox or Enriched Air we have quite a few more benefits than from diving on normal Air, for example we have longer bottom time with our no decompression limits being extended, we have shorter surface intervals because we have lower amount of Nitrogen.
So if you are a more frequent diver and want to have more time underwater exploring the underwater world then the PADI Enriched Air/Nitrox Diver is the perfect course for you.
